Mrs Jo McMahon

Mr Andrew Dolman

I am currently a Head teacher of a large village Primary School in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

I have lived in East Yorkshire since 2001, when I moved from Luton to take up the role of Deputy Headteacher at Molescroft Primary School in Beverley. I stayed there until 2007 and then moved on to Leven CE (VC) Primary School as a Headteacher.

After leaving Sixth Form, I attended Nene College where I did a Bachelor of Education Honours degree. I started my teaching career in Hertfordshire and then moved to Bedfordshire before moving to East Yorkshire.

During my teaching career, I have taught in five different schools and whilst in Luton  I was  a Leading Maths Teacher. I have co-ordinated most areas of the curriculum over the past 25 years, as well as being an experienced Special Needs Co-ordinator and Child Protection lead.

I believe, very strongly, in working with other schools and have always encouraged cross school working within the Hornsea Cluster as well as working with a variety of schools within a curriculum innovation group.

I have worked closely with schools in Peshawar in Pakistan and Limbe in Cameroon.

I enjoy playing bass guitar in my group (No Parking for Caravans) and particularly enjoy the opportunities this has brought me to play on the radio in the past three years. I also enjoy birdwatching, photography and cycling.

I am also a governor at the Hornsea Burton and Skipsea Federation of Primary Schools.

I am proud to be  the Headteacher of Leven CE (VC) Primary School and enjoy working with all members of the school community to secure the best outcomes for all of the pupils, their families and staff.
