East Street Bowls Club
East Street, HU17
The Club was first formed in 1930 by the local residents, and it remains today a very active club. It is situated next to the recreation hall on East Street.

Bowling is a relaxing game of skill, with gentle exercise thrown in.

The game is suitable for men and women of all ages, (though children must be accompanied by an adult), and with easy to follow rules, it can be played by an individual or as a team member.

The season runs from late April  to early September, and members can bowl anytime suitable to themselves. The Club have a diary containing times of matches and rinks available. The club plays on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Wednesday afternoons.

Club night is Friday and there is always a friendly match against other local clubs or the bowls club's own competitions each summer weekend.  Friendly matches are just that - friendly and sociable, and members gather on a Friday night for a roll-up.

Anyone interested in learning the game, or joining the club will be made very welcome - the only requirement is a pair of flat soled shoes. (the Club have some spare shoes)
